Health & Hygiene

As a school we recognise the importance of health and hygiene. This is covered by the national curriculum in Science and PHSE lessons. We also promote health and hygiene throughout the school day with what the children are encouraged to eat at break and lunchtime, and with handwashing throughout the school day.

In addition to this, we have visits from the School Nursing Team during the school year and we also work with Doncaster Hygiene Bank in order to reduce hygiene poverty within our school. If you feel like you need some support with hygiene products, please speak to us in the School Office or speak to any member of staff within school.

We have visits from the School Nursing Team regarding ‘Oral Health’ as we recognise the importance of good oral health. We also have a programme in place for the ‘Tooth Fairy’ – when a child loses a tooth in school they receive a little envelope for the Tooth Fairy, a sticker, a toothbrush and toothpaste.
